Bob began to work for the City of Weyburn, "The Opportunity City", in October of 1997. As City Manager, he believes in and continues to strive for:
‘I am proud to serve as Weyburn’s City Manager. I have worked closely with the citizens, elected officials, and staff to implement a long range plan to improve services, the quality of life, and protect the assets and amenities for all who reside and work in our great city.’
The City of Weyburn mission statement: "To provide leadership for the creation of a common vision and goals for: planned economic growth, efficient use of resources, and a high quality of life in the Weyburn community" was developed by the citizens who are involved in the Weyburn 2020 Strategic Plan.
With the foundation in place for planned growth and economic development, coupled with the new initiatives underway, Weyburn is truly ‘The Opportunity City’; a great place to live, raise a family, work, or visit.
