There are many recycling opportunities in Weyburn. This web page holds information to assist our residents with their recycling needs.
The City of Weyburn encourages responsible recycling. Below you will find a list of items which can be recycled and where you can go to recycle these items.
Aluminum Cans - Sarcan Beer Bottles - Liquor Store and Sarcan Cardboard, Newsprint, Paper - City of Weyburn drop off bin locations, East Avenue Egg Cartons - Weyburn Co-op Glass (clean and non colored) - Wor-Kin-Shop Lead Acid Batteries - Mryglod Properties Paint - Sarcan Plastic Grocery Bags - Weyburn Co-op Rags - Salvation Army Thrift Store Scrap Metal - Mryglod Properties Tin Cans - Wor-Kin-Shop Used Oil and Oil Containers - Weyburn Landfill / EcoCentre Rechargeable Batteries (Ni-Cd, Ni-MH, Li-ion, Pb types) - Fire Department Regular Batteries (since Oct. 2009) - Fire Department
Compost items are always free at the landfill, and must be in a clear bag so that items are noticeable.

CURBSIDE RECYCLING SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE THROUGH 'GO GREEN RECYCLING' BASED OUT OF REGINA, SK. Go Green Recycling, based out of Regina, SK., offers curbisde Recycling to Weyburn residents. Go Green will pick up your recyclable materials on a monthly basis. All clean tin, glass, plastic and paper products are accepted. There is an annual fee for this service which includes one green box and one white polyweave bag.

Environmental Resource Committee Objectives of the committee:
1) to identify, support, provide education on, and publicize available methods of recycling and other environmentally friendly practices in and around the City of Weyburn
2) to research and aid development of new and / or different methods of recycling and other envirnomentally friendly practices beneficial to Weyburn and area.
Click here for bylaw no. 93-1851, which is the bylaw to provide for the establishment of an Evironmental Resource Committee for the City of Weyburn.
Clean Up Campaign To help to promote recycling, reducing and reusing, the City also has an annual Clean Up Campaign. This campaign's goal is to get the community working together to help beautify and clean the City.
