The Walk of Fame Award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to our nation or global community.


The Walk of Fame plaque is awarded to an individual for outstanding athletic, cultural, academic or humanitarian achievement with the following criteria:


        Individually achieved national or international accolades in an athletic or other competitive endeavor;

        Individually achieved a standard of excellence in a cultural, academic or humanitarian field; or achieved fame on their field of endeavor

        The individual has lived in the City of Weyburn or surrounding area for a minimum of 5 years at any point during the individual's lifetime

Nominations can be made by anyone and received by the City Clerk.  Limit of two plaques per year except for inaugural year and centennial year.  No one can receive an award more than once.  The winners are announced at a date to be determined in conjunction with a City of Weyburn seasonal event deemed most appropriate.
