Released Dec. 14, 2020
WEYBURN – The City of Weyburn would like to thank its staff and a number of community organizations who helped raise more than 2,600 lbs of food for the local Salvation Army.
Staff at City Hall, Crescent Point Place, Fire Dept., Police Dept., Public Works, Water Treatment Plant and Weyburn Leisure Centre teamed up with the following community organizations to raise donations for the Salvation Army in lieu of the CP Holiday Train cancelling it’s cross-Canada tour, which would raise non-perishable food items for local food banks for the holidays:
- A & B Concrete
- Barber Motors
- Weyburn Credit Union
- Weyburn Red Wings/Weimers Hometown
- Weyburn Synchro Stars and other leisure centre user groups
- Whitecap Resources
The City encourages its residents to reach out to community organizations and see how you can help show support and make a difference this holiday season.
