WEYBURN – The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) announced on April 20, AstraZeneca vaccine will be utilized in the provincial age-based vaccination program for residents 40+.
AstraZeneca is one of the three approved vaccines currently available in Saskatchewan, and with this change to eligibility there are no longer any restrictions on which vaccine can currently be offered at any of our immunization clinics, under current age eligibilities.
This allows the SHA to utilize any of the three approved vaccines in any of our clinics to immunize more residents over the age of 40 faster, as vaccine allocations are provided to Saskatchewan.
