Boards and Committees - Weyburn, Saskatchewan

Advisory committees and boards are long-term groups established under various legislation or needs of the City of Weyburn. Dedicated volunteer boards and committees work within their area of responsibility to provide advice and make recommendations for changes. Members contribute to the development of policies, procedures and initiatives by working with City Council to improve services and programs for our community.

The City of Weyburn Procedures Bylaw outlines the appointments, rules and provisions of Council’s boards and committees.

The Mayor is an ex-officio voting member of all board and committee meetings, but is not included in determining a quorum.

How to apply

If you are interested in joining one of our boards or committees as a volunteer, you may complete the on-line application form, or contact the City Clerk at cityclerk@weyburn.ca and an application form can be emailed to you.

All appointments are on a voluntary basis; term of appointment will vary for each board and committee.

How are appointments made

Whenever there is a requirement for an appointment to any committee or board, the Mayor shall place before council the recommendation of appointment for approval.
