If you prefer to vote by mail, you can apply for a mail-in ballot by following these steps.
Step 1
Make sure you are eligible to vote in Weyburn’s municipal election.
Ensure you meet the voting criteria and have proper ID to vote by Nov. 9, 2020.
Step 2
Eligible voters can apply for a mail-in ballot with the Returning Officer in-person or electronically:
- Electronic registration (NOTE: must have an eligible voter to sign as a witness)
- In-person registration
If registering electronically, applications must be submitted by email to election@weyburn.ca by 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 30, 2020.
If registering in-person, applications must be received at the election office at city hall by 4 p.m. on Nov. 6, 2020.
Step 3
Once your application has been returned to the election office at city hall, eligible voters will then receive a ballot package.
In the package you will receive:
- envelopes
- your ballot
- instructions
To ensure you receive your ballot package by mail, apply before Oct. 30.
Fill-in the ballot and return to the election office at city hall by 8 p.m. on Nov. 9.
Important to remember
- After Oct. 30, you must apply for mail-in ballot packages in-person at city hall.
- Mail-in ballots must be returned to the election office before 8 p.m. on election day (Nov. 9) in order to be counted.
