Provincial Disaster Assistance Program (PDAP)
PDAP helps residents, small businesses, agricultural operations, First Nations, non-profit organizations, and communities recover from natural disasters, including flooding, tornadoes, plow winds and other disasters caused by severe weather. PDAP may help cover the cost of uninsurable essential losses, cleanup, repairs, and temporary relocation.
PDAP provides assistance for eligible, uninsurable losses and does not replace private insurance:
- If you have insurance, contact your insurance provider to confirm whether your losses are covered. If they are not, you may be required to provide written confirmation from your insurer.
- If you do not have private property insurance, you may still apply to PDAP.
The City of Weyburn has been approved for PDAP private property assistance for the Sept. 7, 2026 rainfall event. Residents seeking assistance must complete a PDAP application and submit all required documentation within six months of the disaster’s end date.

Additional Information
- Original signatures are required for PDAP claim files, therefore PDAP cannot accept emailed or faxed forms
- Once the claim is registered in the PDAP office, an adjuster will be assigned to the claim and will contact you
- Work must be completed within one year of the heavy rainfall event

A recovery centre will be available for residents affected by the Sept. 7, 2026 rainfall event.
Representatives from the Provincial Disaster Assistance Program (PDAP), along with relevant provincial ministries, agencies, Crown corporations and local organizations, will be available to provide information and support.

The City of Weyburn is asking residents and businesses to complete a Community Flood Impact Survey following the Sept. 7 rainfall event.
The survey will help the City better understand where and how properties were affected, identify patterns across the community and support ongoing review and future planning.
Residents and businesses are encouraged to complete the survey even if water did not enter the building but overland flooding occurred on or near the property. Please submit a separate survey for each property being reported.
