When can I expect my bill?
The City of Weyburn bills monthly in the middle of each month.
When is my bill due?
Payments are due on the 10th of the following month.
How do I set up a water account?
You can start, stop, or transfer service online at www.expressaddress.com, in person at Weyburn City Hall, or by contacting the Finance Department at (306) 848-3200.
Tenants applying for water service are required to sign a consent form before utilities can be connected allowing the property owner/landlord unlimited access to information about the utility account.
What should I do if I’m moving?
Start, stop or transfer service online at www.expressaddress.com in person at Weyburn City Hall or by contacting the finance department at (306) 848-3200.
Your pre-authorized payment plan is not automatically transferred, so you must reapply at city hall. Please fill out the pre-authorized payment form for utility accounts.
Your account number changes when you move, so please notify your financial institution to update online or telephone banking.
Is there a connection fee?
All connections are charged a $15 connection fee, which is added to your first bill.
Do I Have to Pay a Deposit?
Property owners are not required to pay a deposit. All renters are required to pay a $200 metre deposit before utilities can be switched over.
What happens to my deposit when I move?
There are two options:
- The deposit will be refunded if there is no balance owing; or
- The deposit can be transferred to another rental property.

What happens if I default on my water bill?
The following notices will be given when an account is in arrears:
- Pink Delinquent Notice – After every billing accounts that are over $20 will be sent a pink 10 day disconnection notice.
- Red Door Hanger – After the 10 days have expired, a red final disconnection notice will be attached to one or more of the occupant’s doors warning that water disconnection for this location will happen within 24-48 hours if payment has not been made.
Once water disconnection is performed a $65 re-connection fee will be added to the applicable account. Water re-connection will only be considered if the total arrears, overdue amounts and re-connection fees are paid in full.
Penalties will be charged on any outstanding amounts at the rate of 1.5% per month.
What should I do if I think my meter is not working properly?

When are meter readings obtained?
Actual meter readings are obtained every month on the last day of each month.

Follow the simple steps on the EyeOnWater website to access your water usage information online.
When creating your account you will be asked to enter your utility billing account number; please be sure to include the dashes (e.g. 001-0001234-123).
