WEYBURN, SK – The City of Weyburn announces that its primary indoor arena, formerly known as Crescent Point Place, has been renamed the Whitecap Resources Centre following a one-year naming rights agreement with Whitecap Resources Inc.
The City extends its sincere gratitude to Whitecap Resources for their investment and support in the Weyburn community through this partnership.
“Whitecap Resources’ contribution supported our ability to maintain and operate one of Weyburn’s most used recreation facilities,” said Richard Henning, City of Weyburn Director of Leisure Services. “It’s a good example of how local partnerships can strengthen the services we provide to the community.”
“At Whitecap Resources, we believe in building stronger communities by investing in the health and well-being of our youth. We’re proud to support the Weyburn community, creating more opportunities for children to be active, stay healthy, and develop lifelong skills through play and sport. We look forward to a great winter season at the arena and to continue our support of youth in the Weyburn area for years to come,” said Grant Fagerheim, President & CEO, Whitecap Resources Inc.
The City will release a new sponsorship package this fall for organizations interested in future naming rights opportunities. Businesses looking to support one of Weyburn’s most active public facilities are encouraged to contact:
