The City of Weyburn has an Environmental Committee. This committee is made up of 7 members, and they meet once a month. They aim to support and provide education on available methods of recycling and environmentally friendly practices in Weyburn.
Wey-Clean Week
The City believes that tackling litter and properly disposing of waste are simple actions our residents can take to make our community a safer and more attractive place to live, play and work.

Household Hazardous Waste Day
Household Hazardous Waste Day (HHWD) is an annual event usually hosted in the spring by the City of Weyburn. This day is to help residents dispose of household hazardous wastes safely.
Hazardous wastes include household chemicals, light bulbs, batteries, medications, and more. These materials will be recycled and disposed of in an environmentally responsible manner.
2022 Household Hazardous Waste Day will be held Saturday, June 11 from 9am to 3pm at the Public Works yard, 55 16th Street NE
