Repair Cafe
The Repair Cafe is an event held by the Saskatchewan Waste Reduction Council in municipalities across Saskatchewan. It is a pop-up, one day event where visitors can bring in household items in need of repair. Repair experts volunteer their time to fix the items and teach their skills.
Repair Cafes reduce waste, as most people throw items away when they stop working, even though one simple repair could make them work good as new. The Repair Cafe changes people’s mindsets about their possessions.
Repair Cafes accept anything from clothes, furniture, electrical appliances, bicycles, crockery, appliances, toys, and more.
This event is tentatively planned for October 2020, stay tuned for more details!
