The Tatagwa Parkway Plant-A-Tree Program is designed to enable you to make a lasting, living gift to your community by purchasing a tree and having it planted in recognition of someone close to you, or to commemorate a special occasion in your life such as a birth, engagement, or graduation! Companies can honour long service employees or exceptional employee performance, and organizations can ensure a lasting and growing tribute for volunteer efforts by purchasing trees that are planted in their names. Trees can also be purchased in lieu of flowers in memory of a loved one.
The program is intended to raise funds to ensure the development and enhancement of our urban forest through public and private donations. Donations offset the costs of planting the many trees that add to the beauty of the Tatagwa Parkway.
Recognition
The name of the persons or organizations being honoured will be permanently recorded and displayed on an engraved plaque at City Hall. Trees will be planted and maintained by the Parks Department throughout the Tatagwa Parkway.
Each tree planted with the help of your donation will be suitably sited by the Parks Department, who have a map available to show you!
