Let’s clean up, Weyburn! We’re calling on residents, local businesses, clubs and organizations to roll up their sleeves and take part in Wey-Clean Week 2026, happening May 25-29.
The City believes that tackling litter and properly disposing of waste are simple actions our residents can take to make our community a safer and more attractive place to live, play and work.
TAKE CARE OF THE PLACES WE SHARE
This year’s campaign is “Take care of the places we share.” Whether it’s a school yard, storefront, parking lot, or alley, every effort helps get our community ready for the season ahead. Consider organizing a team to help clean:
- Front entrances and sidewalks
- Parking lots and surrounding areas
- Back alleys and loading zones
- School grounds and shared spaces

Free gloves and garbage bags are available to support your clean-up efforts. Pick-up is available at City Hall, or we can arrange delivery. To get involved, contact the Engineering Department at:

GOLDEN GARBAGE CAN
Wey-Clean Week is also an opportunity to build momentum ahead of the Golden Garbage Can competition on June 17, a friendly community clean-up challenge between the City of Weyburn and the City of Estevan. More details on this year’s competition will be shared soon, but every effort made during Wey-Clean helps set the tone for community pride and participation across Weyburn.
