REMINDER TO RESIDENTS
Summer is here!!
With the summer months upon us, all City residents want to be outside enjoying their back yards, parks, swimming pools and other outdoor activities.
The City of Weyburn would like to remind all residents that in consideration of others there are certain bylaws in place to allow all residents to enjoy the outdoors in the summer.
Dog Owners – please ensure that your pets are leashed any time they are outside of your yard and all pet excrement must be picked up and disposed of. Dog owners can be charged under Noise Bylaw for allowing their dogs to bark continuously at any time of the day.
Noise Bylaw – Although the noise bylaw states that quiet time is from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., residents can be charged under the noise bylaw any time of day if the noise is constant or interfering with the enjoyment or rest of others.
Bicyclists – Any bike with a tire diameter of 40 cm or greater should not be riding their bike on the sidewalk. All bicyclists should follow the same rules of the road as automobiles, riding on the right side of the road and obeying all traffic signs.
