WEYBURN – The City of Weyburn has teamed up with TD Bank to plant 150 Trees Along Queen St. Saturday, October 19 starting at 9 a.m. and runs to 12 p.m.
TD’s flagship volunteer and urban greening program, TD Tree Days provides TD employees, their families and friends, and the community, the opportunity to volunteer and help build healthy, vibrant communities by caring for their local environment.
All Volunteers are asked to meet on the tree planting site located east of Queen st. north of highway 13. See the site map below for parking.
Holes are predrilled for the trees and these open holes are flagged. Please use caution as these open holes may be a tripping hazard.
The following clothing is recommended for the event:
- Wear closed toed sturdy footwear. Please do not wear sandals or flip flops to the event.
- Dress for the weather. You can dress in layers with a windbreaker and bring rain gear in case of rainy conditions.
- Hat, sunglasses and sunscreen are also good items to bring along.
- Previous volunteers are encouraged to wear their TD Tree Days t-shirt from last year.
Garden gloves will provided, please feel free to bring your own if you prefer. A reusable water bottle is recommend.
If you are bringing minors of which you aren’t the parent/guardian, please download and print the Minor Participant Waiver and Photo Release forms for parent/guardian signature. You must provide the signed forms to the TD Site Leader when you arrive at the event.
