The Returning Officer for the 2020 municipal election would like to thank all the election workers and City of Weyburn staff who worked tirelessly to hold a safe and successful election for Weyburn voters during the Covid-19 pandemic.
“This was the first year Weyburn has held an election during a pandemic and using electronic vote tabulating machines,” said Returning Officer Donette Richter. “We appreciate the incredible voter cooperation for following and understanding all the new protocols.”
“Our advanced polls turnout exceeded our expectations, as well as the number of voters who attended our regular poll on Nov. 9 during a winter storm,” she added.
