WEYBURN – With COVID-19 Variants of Concern in the Weyburn community, the Saskatchewan Health Authority wants to remind residents of additional measures and precautions that will limit the spread of the Novel Coronavirus 2019.
Mandatory masking, physical distancing, proper hand hygiene, working from home when possible and limiting private dwelling indoor gatherings will help stop the transmission of COVID-19.
Provincial public health measures recently expanded to include a travel advisory in effect for Regina and area communities. Travel is not recommended in or out of the Regina area unless absolutely necessary.
Public Health is closely monitoring the situation in Weyburn regarding transmission of VoCs. Anyone experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, even if they are mild, should get tested immediately. Walk-in testing, with no appointments required, is available in Weyburn at 1560 New City Garden Rd.
Know your risk and consider factors listed on the Government of Saskatchewan website before participating in an activity.
Passover and Easter Celebrations
With current public health order requirements in effect due to COVID-19, we will need to celebrate Passover and Easter differently again this year.
Remember to practice physical distancing every day, including Passover and Easter. Stay home and keep your household bubble small. Don’t share food.
Instead, consider hosting a virtual dinner over a video call or putting together a virtual Easter egg hunt. Get creative and celebrate socially connected, but physically distanced.
