WEYBURN – Weyburn residents are encouraged to find the history that’s right in front of them, starting May 7 on the Jane’s Walk Weyburn 2021 tour.
This year’s tour is called “What’s in a Name?” with information on where and how different city streets in Weyburn got their names.
The information will be physically attached to street signs throughout the month of May, that people can enjoy through a self-guided trip in the Burnwey subdivision. Scan the QR code on the signs with your phone camera to view more information 2021 tour information.
Signs will be displayed along the following streets on the east side of Weyburn:
Jane’s Walk is an annual festival of free, citizen-led walking conversations that encourage people to share stories about their neighbourhoods, discover unseen aspects of their communities, and use walking as a way to connect with their neighbours. Walks take place in hundreds of cities around the world, and Weyburn is one of those locations.
