Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination or Negative Test Requirement for Adults 18+ in City Facilities

WEYBURN – Effective November 8, 2021, proof of a recognized COVID-19 Vaccination or COVID-19 rapid antigen or polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test result from within the previous 72 hours will be required by all adults 18+ accessing City of Weyburn facility drop-in programs, events, recreational leagues, or rental groups who do not already have more stringent COVID-19 policies in place through their Provincial/ Federal Governing Bodies.
Proof of a recognized COVID-19 Vaccination or COVID-19 rapid antigen or polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test result from within the previous 72 hours will also be required for access to City of Weyburn Council Chambers and meeting rooms at all City of Weyburn buildings.
Proof of Vaccination or negative test requirements will apply to:
- City Hall
- Access to Council Chambers and meeting rooms.
- Police Station
- Access to meeting rooms
- Public Works Building/Fire Hall
- Access to meeting rooms
- Weyburn Leisure Center
- Access to and the removal of masks for individuals 18 years of age and older while participating in athletic or sports activities, for the duration of the sport or activity only.
- The removal of masks for on-deck officials while officiating in sports activities, for the duration of the activity only.
- Ticketed events.
- Credit Union Spark Center
- Access to and the removal of masks for individuals 18 years of age and older while participating in athletic or sports activities, for the duration of the sport or activity only.
- The removal of masks for on-court/on-field game officials while officiating in sports activities, for the duration of the activity only.
- Ticketed events.
- Crescent Point Place
- Access to and the removal of masks for individuals 18 years of age and older while participating in athletic or sports activities, for the duration of the sport or activity only.
- The removal of masks for on-ice game officials while officiating in sports activities, for the duration of the activity only.
- Ticketed events.
- Tom Zandee Sports Arena
- Access to and the removal of masks for individuals 18 years of age and older while participating in athletic or sports activities, for the duration of the sport or activity only.
- The removal of masks for on-ice game officials while officiating in sports activities, for the duration of the activity only.
- Ticketed events.
- Soo Line Historical Museum
- General access to the facility
- Turner Curling Museum
- General access to the facility
Exempt from the COVID-19 proof of Vaccination or Negative test results include:
- Children and youth up to age 17 accessing all City of Weyburn leisure facilities
- Spectators of all ages at all City of Weyburn leisure facilities
- Those accessing facilities for front desk services
An easy to follow, facility user guide will be developed and posted on the City of Weyburn Website, through social media and local media channels and will be posted at the entry to all City of Weyburn Facilities.
The City is continuing to work with the Province on all the all the details of the Public Health Orders. We please ask that everyone visiting these facilities be patient and kind with staff and other customers as we all work through this new requirement.
