This past weekend five Paid on Call members of the Weyburn Fire Department were in Estevan completing the practical testing for their NFPA 1001 certification. The NFPA 1001 Level 1 and Level 2 course is the standard for firefighter professional qualifications. The practical testing consisted of specific performance requirements such as ropes & knots, ladders, search & rescue, firefighter mayday, car fire, auto extrication, fire suppression and vertical ventilation.
The City of Weyburn would like to congratulate Firefighter Bell-Erb, Firefighter Jack, Firefighter Doane, Firefighter Murray, and Firefighter Shangraw on completing the practical requirement for their NFPA certification, and thank them for their service and dedication to the City of Weyburn!
