Provincial Disaster Assistance Program (PDAP)
Released June 28, 2022
WEYBURN – On June 20 & 21, 2022, the City of Weyburn experienced a heavy rainfall event (95 mm) as per Environment Canada. The City of Weyburn has applied for and has been approved by the Government of Saskatchewan as an eligible assistance area under the Provincial Disaster Assistance Program (PDAP).
PDAP helps residents, small businesses, agricultural operations, First Nations, non-profit organizations, and communities recover from natural disasters, including flooding, tornadoes, plow winds and other disasters caused by severe weather. PDAP may help cover the cost of uninsurable essential losses, cleanup, repairs, and temporary relocation.
If you are a property owner who has experienced damages due to the heavy rain event on June 20 & 21, 2022, we encourage you to apply for the PDAP. Application forms are available at www.weyburn.ca/PDAP or at City Hall. Applications must be returned to PDAP by December 21, 2022.
