WEYBURN –The City of Weyburn’s Parks Department will begin weed control operations in Jubilee Park starting April 30 to May 2, 2024, weather permitting.
“It is important we take a proactive approach to dealing with dandelions and weeds this year. Our goal is limiting the number of dandelions that go to seed this spring, making weed control easier for the rest of the summer,” said Parks Manager Curtis Block.
During the application process, clear signage will be displayed to indicate treated areas. Additionally, watch for signage and pink flagging in spraying areas, ensuring public safety and awareness.
We ask residents to avoid treated areas and refrain from allowing children or pets to enter these areas for 24 hours after application. After 24 hours, the City will take down the signage and flags, indicating that the space is now accessible to the public.
