The City of Weyburn is asking residents and businesses to temporarily conserve water following an extended power outage at the Nickle Lake intake on Aug. 23.
Effective immediately, residents and businesses are asked to:
- Stop lawn watering and irrigation.
- Avoid washing vehicles or other non-essential outdoor water use.
- Limit other non-essential water use wherever possible.
Water can continue to be used for essential household and business needs, including drinking, cooking, hygiene and sanitation.
This temporary conservation measure will help maintain the City’s treated water reserves while crews work to return normal water production levels at the Water Treatment Plant.
The City will provide an update when the conservation request can be lifted.
