DED Control Program Application Form

The 2020 Dutch Elm Disease (DED) control program includes basal spraying of elm trees in the following areas of the city:

South
- 1st Ave. S to 10th Ave. S
- Government Rd. to Confederation Dr.

Northwest
- 1st Ave. NW to 3rd Ave. NW
- Scott Cres. to Elgin St.
- Saskatchewan Dr.

North
- 1st Ave. N to 5th Ave. N
- Windsor St. to King St.

Sept. 18 is the deadline to apply for the 2020 DED control program.

The City of Weyburn has a successful Dutch Elm Disease prevention and control program.

Part of the program includes pest management through pesticide spraying of privately-owned elms following the receipt of written authorization from the property owner.

By consenting to this program, you authorize City of Weyburn staff to enter your property to identify and mark privately owned elm trees and to spray the pesticide Chlorpyrifos on the property.

When applied safely and correctly, Chlorpyrifos can be an effective tool in preventing the spread of Dutch Elm Disease. By checking the box below, you consent to understanding children and pets should be kept away from flagged trees for a period of 24 hours.
I authorize the City of Weyburn Parks Department to enter my property and basal spray any elm trees for the control of Dutch Elm Disease.
