Weyburn Police Service Notice: Training scheduled for Jan. 28-29
The Weyburn and Estevan Joint Tactical Support Team will be conducting routine training at Whitecap Resources Centre and the Weyburn Leisure Centre on Wednesday and Thursday.

Downtown snow removal is scheduled to begin midnight on Thursday, Jan. 22. Work is expected to be complete around 8 a.m., ahead of peak traffic times in the area
RECYCLING NOTICE – Area 5 – Jan 16
Due to weather conditions, recycling pickup in Area 5 scheduled for Friday, Jan. 16 has been postponed until Monday, Jan. 19.
UPDATE: Landfill remains closed Jan. 16
This closure will be re-assessed Friday, Jan. 16, and will re-open once weather conditions improve.
LANE CLOSURE – Government Rd. – Jan 15
Due to road constructuion, southbound lane on Government Rd. will be temporarily closed Thursday between Souris Ave. and Railway Ave.
City introduces new Taxi Bylaw
On Jan. 12, City Council approved Bylaw No. 2025-3504 (Taxi Bylaw), the City’s first taxi bylaw, which sets expectations for licensing, vehicle standards, and driver requirements.
Business license renewals due by Jan. 31, 2026
Invoices for renewal were mailed Friday, Jan. 9, 2026 with payments due by Jan. 31. A business license is required by any business which intends to operate a commercial, merchandising, or industrial activity within the City of Weyburn corporate boundaries.

TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS – Government Rd. – Jan. 12
Traffic restrictions on Government Rd. between Prairie Ave. and Coteau Ave. on Monday, Jan. 12. Two-way traffic will remain open. Drivers will use parking lanes to pass crews and equipment. No parking is permitted on Government Rd. within the work zone.
