Bylaw 2014-3290 is in place to regulate portable signs, being any temporary sign that can be easily carried or transported from one site to another and isn’t otherwise described under Section 16 of the Zoning Bylaw. The bylaw regulates the administration, enforcement, size and placement of portable signs in the city.
Any portable sign desired to be placed on public or private land must receive approval from the Development Officer and pay the yearly administration fee ($75.00 per year for placement on private land and $500.00 per year for placement on public land). Signs approved for placement on private land may be moved to other locations on private land without additional approval.
