WEYBURN – The public may have noticed activity outside the Water Treatment Plant along 16th St. recently.
Maintenance of Plant 100 is ongoing at the facility this month. Sandblasting of filter compartments is currently taking place to improve and maintain the quality of treated water. Last year, the City prioritized sandblasting at Plant 100 under its 2021 maintenance plan.
The more than 60 year old plant goes offline every winter and, once maintenance is complete, returns online in the late spring or summer.
