City of Weyburn is excited to again host a hazardous waste depot, as COVID-19 restrictions cancelled last year’s event.
WEYBURN – The City of Weyburn is offering its residents a safe and responsible way to dispose of household hazardous material this spring.
The 2021 Household Hazardous Waste Day (HHWD) is scheduled for June 12 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Public Works roundhouse located at 55 16th St. NE.
It is important that residents recycle and dispose of hazardous materials from their homes in an environmentally responsible manner. Household hazardous waste is not allowed in curbside garbage bins and should never be poured down the drain or stormwater sewers.
A piece of identification with proof of address will be required for anyone disposing of waste at the roundhouse on June 12.
A list of acceptable materials for HHWD can be found here. SARCAN (1800 Ebel Rd.) will be open June 12 to accept paint and electronics.
