From July 17-19, the intersection at Hwy 39 and Government Rd. is closed to replace traffic signals.
Detours are in place for local and highway traffic. Heavy trucks are rerouted along Hwy 13 and 16th St.

Update July 10
Next week, there will be a temporary road closure of the intersection at Hwy 39 and Government Rd. to facilitate the replacement of traffic signals.
The closure will begin on July 17 and is expected to last until July 19.
During this closure, detours will be clearly marked for local and highway traffic. Heavy trucks are rerouted along Hwy 13 and 16th St.
This is the final phase of the traffic light replacement project which began in May. The new highway standards feature galvanized cantilever poles and energy-efficient LED bulbs.
The City of Weyburn appreciates the patience and understanding of the public during this temporary closure. The cooperation of residents, motorists and pedestrians is crucial to ensure a safe and efficient completion of the project.

Traffic light replacement project begins May 25 at the intersection of Hwy 39 and Government Rd.
Detours will be in place for local and highway traffic. Heavy trucks are rerouted along Hwy 13 and 16th St.
To help reduce traffic congestion, please avoid the intersections at 1st Ave. NE and 16th St., as well as Hwy 39 and 16th St. Please see map attached and follow local detour signs in place.
This work will begin early May 25 through May 26.
