October 22, 2025
The City of Weyburn is inviting residents to an information open house on the 2026 annual budget. This will be held the first week of November:
- Nov. 4 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at City Hall
- Nov. 6 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Credit Union Spark Centre
The annual budget is a financial plan that describes how much money the City will raise and spend. It determines the level of service provided to Weyburn residents and guides decisions on what City infrastructure will be built and repaired.
View the 2026 Preliminary Budget presented at the Oct. 27, 2025 Weyburn City Council meeting.
Council and city staff will be available to answer public questions and discuss budget priorities at the open house.
An open budget process offers citizens an opportunity to learn about the municipal budget process and provide input on priorities. Transparent and inclusive budgeting facilitates citizen understanding of issues and government processes, ensures transparency and accountability, improves the quality of decisions made and increases support for the decisions made.
Individuals and/or organizations requesting an opportunity to appear as a delegation before Council regarding budget, must submit request to the City Clerks Office by 4 p.m. on Nov. 18, 2025 to attend the Nov. 24, 2025 regular Council meeting in Council Chambers. To appear as a delegation, please review the Council Procedures Bylaw.
