The City would like to remind residents that with the additional pickup days for 2026, Council also requested additional days in the month of December 2025. Garbage pickup will be weekly, with the exception of the Christmas and Boxing Day statutory holidays.

The City of Weyburn’s 2026 refuse and recycling schedules are now available so you can plan your pickup days well before the new year begins.

The calendars are colour-coded and organized to make it easy to see your regular collection days. The 2026 garbage schedule also includes additional pickup days, after Council passed a motion to reduce the bi-weekly collection period to just three months, from January to March. This change addresses the high volume of garbage in December without a significant impact on operating costs or requiring a cost recovery fee.
PLEASE NOTE:
- Changes to the 2025 recycling calendar due to closure of the Weyburn Landfill on Dec. 26 will move Area 2 and Area 3 recycling to Monday, Dec. 29, 2025.
- Previous versions of the 2026 refuse calendar had an error in the month of April. Changes have been made and updated calendars are available on the City of Weyburn website and for pickup at City Hall.
