March 24, 2026
Spring in Weyburn brings a familiar sign that cleanup season is just around the corner. City of Weyburn landfill coupons will be delivered to residential households this weekend through the March 26 edition of Weyburn This Week.
These coupons are intended to support residents as they tackle seasonal yard work, home cleanups, and small-scale disposal needs. The landfill coupon program is one way the City supports these efforts while helping keep our community clean and well-maintained. They are designed for everyday household use and are not valid for business or commercial loads.
If your household receives Weyburn This Week, your coupons will arrive as part of that delivery. Residents are encouraged to keep them in a safe place so they are ready when needed throughout the season. Households that do not receive the free community paper can still access landfill coupons. Residents can contact City Hall to arrange pickup at (306) 848-3221.
The Weyburn Landfill will move to summer hours of operation beginning April 1 and running to Oct. 31, 2026:
Weekdays: 8 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Weekends & statutory holidays: 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
(Closed Good Friday & Easter Sunday)
Gate will be open during hours below for public drop-off. No delivery shall be made except during the hours of operation.
Know Before You Go
The landfill offers designated areas to help you dispose of yard materials properly:
- Compost Pile (no charge): leaves, grass clippings, garden and flowerbed waste, sod
- Wood Pile (charges apply): clean lumber, branches, trees, stumps
Sorting your load helps keep disposal efficient and supports proper waste management.
All coupons must be used by December 31, 2026. Plan ahead and make the most of your free residential drop-off this season.
More Ways to Keep Waste Out of the Landfill
With the transition to the SK Recycling program, Weyburn’s curbside blue bin program has an updated list of accepted materials. At the same time, SARCAN now accepts more items than many residents may realize.
Together, these changes mean more materials can be recycled within the community, helping reduce landfill use and supporting a more efficient waste system. Check the updated list of accepted items before you sort: weyburn.ca/recycling-collection
