Elected as Mayor of the City of Weyburn in 2016, Marcel continues to work hard to represent the great people of Weyburn and lead the city down a path of progress. In just four years, so much has been accomplished! Marcel Roy has been a dedicated servant to Weyburn starting as one of the first Emergency Medical Technicians in Saskatchewan, then as a police officer with the Weyburn Police Service (retiring as a Sergeant). His years of service have proven him to be a strong leader who listens to people’s concerns and effectively get things done. Marcel has always believed in fairness, transparency of government, law and order, and focused economic development. Marcel Roy has been tremendously proud to be able to always call Weyburn his home and looks to continue his work to ensure Weyburn continues to grow and prosper!
