To honour the importance of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on Friday, the City of Weyburn officially observes this day to recognize and commemorate the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action. Recognizing this day is an important first step in the journey to reconciliation.
Many City of #Weyburn buildings will be closed on Sept. 30:
- City Hall
- Public Works
- Weyburn Leisure Centre
- Credit Union Spark Centre
- Weyburn Art Gallery
Area 2 garbage collection for Friday, Sept. 30 moves to Monday, Oct. 3. Recycling collection for Area 5 will remain on Friday, Sept. 30.
The Weyburn Landfill will be open from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Sept. 30. Crescent Point Place and Tom Zandee Sports Arena are open for scheduled programming.
WAYS TO ENGAGE
A Walk for Reconciliation in Jubilee Park will begin at 1 p.m. on Sept. 30. The public is encouraged to visit the “Treaty Timeline” exhibit setup along the park pathways.
