A business license is required by any business which intends to operate a commercial, merchandising, or industrial activity within the City of Weyburn corporate boundaries.
Invoices for renewal were mailed Friday, Jan. 9, 2026 with payments due by Jan. 31.
Business licences are necessary for municipalities to ensure that businesses are operating legally and complying with all health, safety, and zoning regulations. The City of Weyburn must be notified in the event of a change of address, change of name, or change of ownership or if a business has ceased to operate.

Determine your business type
Resident Business: All businesses operating within commercial and industrial zones as set out by the City of Weyburn. The license must be displayed in a prominent place at the business location.
Non-Resident Business: If a business does not have a permanent Weyburn location, or operates out of their home. The applicant should keep the license with them any time they are doing business in the city.
Direct Sellers: An individual or firm which is licensed under The Direct Sellers Act (i.e. door-to-door or telephone sales). A valid provincial license and a City of Weyburn non-residential business license are required and should be available anytime business is conducted in the city.

City of Weyburn business licenses expire Dec. 31 of year year and must be renewed for a business to continue operating.

The City of Weyburn offers the following methods of payment for business licenses:
- In-person at City Hall by cash, cheque or debit.
- By mailing your cheque to: City of Weyburn, PO Box 370, Weyburn, SK, S4H 2K6
- Credit card payments through the City’s online payment forms.
