Free workshop presented by Inclusion Saskatchewan at Credit Union Spark Centre
WEYBURN – Community spaces are for everyone, and a free June 17 workshop will give local groups practical tools to recognize barriers and create more accessible, inclusive and welcoming programs, events and public spaces.
The City of Weyburn is hosting a free Community Inclusion and Accessibility Workshop presented by Inclusion Saskatchewan on Wednesday, June 17, 2026.
The Lunch & Learn-style session will take place from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Credit Union Spark Centre multipurpose rooms.
This workshop will provide foundational information on accessibility and inclusion, with a focus on how people with intellectual disabilities are impacted when these considerations are not included in planning. Participants will learn how to define and understand accessibility and inclusion, identify barriers that can affect people with intellectual disabilities and gain practical strategies to support inclusion in their own work.
The session is an excellent opportunity for employees of recreational programs, civic facilities or services, and community organizations involved in programs, events or public spaces.
There is no cost to attend. Registration is not required, but is encouraged to assist with planning. To register, visit the City of Weyburn website: https://cityofweyburn.finnlyconnect.com/registration/activitylist
