The City of Weyburn undertook an Aquatic Feasibility Study to assess the best path forward to meet aquatic needs in the city.
The feasibility study is an important step in the process to ensure prudent and responsible decision making given the significant municipal investment that will be needed. This study explored enhancements to service delivery and all facility design possibilities, including facility repairs and modernization, potential expansion, and the construction of a new aquatic facility.
The goal was to hear from the entire community: regular patrons at the pool, a parent of a young swimmer, a fitness enthusiast or someone who has never used a pool.
Weyburn has been selected to take part in an important initiative to strengthen our community: the development of a Community Safety and Well-Being (CSWB) plan.
This initiative, facilitated by the Saskatchewan Economic Development Alliance (SEDA) and supported by the Ministry of Justice, is designed to bring together residents, organizations, businesses and governments to help make Weyburn an even better place to live, work and grow.
We’re inviting residents, business owners, and community members to take part in a short survey to help guide this process.
