To honour the importance of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on Friday, the City of Weyburn officially observes this day as an important first step in the journey to reconciliation.
City of Weyburn recognizes federal Day of Mourning on Sept. 19
The City of Weyburn will observe a recently declared federal Day of Mourning by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Sept. 19, to honour Queen Elizabeth II on the day of her state funeral. City Hall and Public Works will be closed. Garbage collection on Sept. 19 will rollover to Sept. 20. Leisure facilities remain open.
