This event will see an estimated 300 athletes come to Weyburn from all over Saskatchewan to participate in the weekend’s events. Drop-in users and membership holders should expect a higher number of guests in the facility than normal.
Area 4 Recycling Collection Disruption – January 19
Due to a mechanical issue with the Goliath truck, recycling collection in Area 4 has been disrupted and will resume Jan. 20.
Mammogram screening bus in Weyburn Jan. 9 – Feb. 17
The Saskatchewan Cancer Agency mobile bus will be at the Canalta Hotel in Weyburn from Jan. 9 – Feb. 17 providing screening mammograms for women ages 50 years and older.
Snow Removal Update – Dec. 16
A blowing snow advisory continues for the Weyburn area on Dec. 16. City crews are working hard on priority routes and will move to secondary routes as quickly as possible.

Weyburn Gold Wings skating with community on Nov. 25
The free skating event on Friday from 1:15-3:15 p.m. at Tom Zandee Sports Arena is sponsored by the City of Weyburn. The Gold Wings will be on the ice to chaperon and engage with public skaters.
Wright Construction Selected to Design and Construct Weyburn District General Hospital Project
Wright Construction was selected through a two-stage procurement process. Construction of the new hospital is expected to begin Spring 2023 with completion targeted for Fall 2025.

Haunting event at Heritage Village helps raise money for City of Weyburn facility
The $8,000 contribution was part of the funds raised from the first-ever “The Haunting of Heritage Hill,” a haunted house event held from Oct. 28-31 at Heritage Village, hosted by Ernie Parisien and his Mayhem Manor volunteers.
New radar speed signs to improve school zone speed management in Weyburn
The solar powered digital radar speed feedback signs cost $8,619.82 and were funded through the Provincial Traffic Safety Fund Grant Program.
