TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS – Multiple locations – Oct. 16-20

Starting Oct. 16, traffic restrictions will be in place along major routes throughout Weyburn. Drivers can expect lane closures and traffic delays. This work is expected to take approximately one week.

UPDATE: Water use restrictions lifted Oct. 12

Effective as of 4 p.m. on Wednesday, October 11, the City of Weyburn is asking residents to reduce water consumption and non-essential water use. The advisory will remain in place until further notice.

City hours of operation Thanksgiving Monday, Oct. 9

Civic offices will be closed. Reduced hours at Weyburn Leisure Centre. Credit Union Spark Centre and Weyburn Art Gallery closed.

UPDATE – Area 2, 3, 4 basal spraying postponed to Oct. 6

DED, a relentless fungal disease transmitted by elm bark beetles, poses a significant threat to elm trees in the province. To combat its spread within Weyburn, the City will focus its efforts exclusively on city-owned elm trees.

ROAD CLOSURE – Railway Ave. – Oct. 6

Due to water service repair, Railway Ave. will be closed for the day from Government Rd. to 2nd St. starting at 8 a.m. on Oct. 6.

1st Ave. NE and 16th St. Intersection reopening Sept. 26

Construction at 1st Ave. N.E. and 16th St. is complete. As Tuesday evening, the intersection will again open to traffic.

City of Weyburn gives notice of cemetery maintenance bylaw

All unauthorized articles left on graves must be removed by Oct. 15, 2023. This provision is designed to facilitate the essential maintenance tasks carried out by the cemetery staff in the winter season.
