WFD responds to Hwy 39 vehicle fire
Emergency crews received a call of a vehicle fire on Highway 39 between Government Rd. and 3rd St. at 10:25 a.m. on March 11. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Stolen traffic signs create safety and cost concerns in Weyburn
The most serious incidents have occurred on Township Road 90, where signs have been stolen on three separate occasions, and on 16th Street, which has seen two incidents, resulting in nearly $10,000 in costs for replacement and labour.
Weyburn Fire Department responds to structure fire at Navou Park
In the early hours of Saturday, the Weyburn Fire Department responded to a significant fire involving two mobile homes.

Overall emergency response and coordination is being managed by the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency (SPSA). There are approximately 80 evacuees in Weyburn at this time.

City launches new notification system
The system sends alerts to residents, businesses and visitors with a range of notices including both major emergency events and day-to-day communications such as road maintenance and closures, water advisories, daily programs and services, etc.
UPDATE: Snow removal attention April 21 on downtown core
Priority routes will remain the focus until the weather system subsides. At that time, the Public Works department will evaluate what resources can be allocated to clearing secondary routes.
