The road will be closed; no thru traffic allowed. Local businesses remain accessible via the east and west service road entrances.
UPDATE: ROAD CLOSURE – King St. reopening targeted for first week of October
On Monday, July 7, major road construction will begin on King St. and Hwy 35 N, that will require full road closures and no through traffic will be permitted. King St. is expected to reopen in early September.
ROAD CLOSURE – 5th St. & 1st Ave. NE – Sept. 8-12
Due to traffic light installation, the intersection of 5th St. and 1st Ave. NE will be closed for the week of Sept. 8 – 12. Local and highway detours in effect.
Notice of public water tap rate increase, effective Oct. 1
Beginning Oct. 1, 2025, the rate at the Public Works Yard public water tap will be $3.50 per 100 gallons.
ROAD CLOSURE – 18th St. – Sept 5
18th St. will be closed to traffic between Barber Cres./Clarke Ave. and North Service Rd. due to road repairs.
ROAD CLOSURE – South Railway Ave. at 3rd St.
This closure is required to accommodate concrete work and is expected to remain in place for approximately two weeks.
Stolen traffic signs create safety and cost concerns in Weyburn
The most serious incidents have occurred on Township Road 90, where signs have been stolen on three separate occasions, and on 16th Street, which has seen two incidents, resulting in nearly $10,000 in costs for replacement and labour.
ROAD CLOSURE – 5th St. NE & Souris Ave. – Aug. 12-15
The intersection at 5th St. NE and Souris Ave. will be closed to traffic starting Tuesday, Aug. 12. This closure is expected to remain in place for several days.
TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS – 4th St. NE & Coteau Ave. – Aug. 11
Lane restrictions in effect through the intersection. This work will begin around 1 p.m. on Aug. 11, and continue for the afternoon.
