Leaves, yard waste and garden waste are accepted in the curbside garbage bin but items must be bagged or bundled and tied; loose items are prohibited under the Refuse Bylaw No. 2018-3391.
City of Weyburn 2023 annual budget proposed to Council
The City of Weyburn has proposed a 10.34% increase in taxes for the 2023 municipal budget. This percentage equals out to a proposed increase of $991,988 in revenue.
UPDATE: TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS – Railway Ave. – Oct. 18
2nd St. is closed from Souris Ave. to Railway Ave. starting Sept. 28. Railway Ave. (from Government Rd. to 3rd St.) remains open with traffic restricted in the westbound lane.
UPDATE: 16th St. water station open with temporary hose access
The City of Weyburn’s 16th St. potable water station will be closed Oct. 11-17 due to upgrades. This closure could last longer than Oct. 17, due to the scope of the project and weather permitting.

City of Weyburn recognizes federal Day of Mourning on Sept. 19
The City of Weyburn will observe a recently declared federal Day of Mourning by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Sept. 19, to honour Queen Elizabeth II on the day of her state funeral. City Hall and Public Works will be closed. Garbage collection on Sept. 19 will rollover to Sept. 20. Leisure facilities remain open.
